Finland’s esteemed welding-solutions company Kemppi Oy will present the future of the welding industry to guests at the EuroBLECH fair, being held in Hanover, Germany, on 23–27 October. At the fair, the company will focus on the marriage of productivity and quality for diverse applications.

Kemppi’s flagship product for welding quality management is the new 2.0 version of the Kemppi Arc System and its ArcQuality module. The emphasis here lies in complete monitoring solutions that are tools for high efficiency and perfect welds. Kemppi’s attention to high quality at high speeds is represented by the company’s motorsport sponsorships, not least its partnership with the Williams Formula 1 team. Kemppi CEO Anssi Rantasalo points out: ‘Quality matters in welding as it does in F1.’

At the EuroBLECH fair, high technology brings that quality within reach throughout the welding field. The innovative solutions to be showcased at hall 13’s stand E24 include the following.


Kemppi ArcQuality – the market’s most advanced welding quality management system

ArcQuality is the world’s first welding quality management system to offer an easy and comprehensive way of ensuring that the Welding Procedure Specification is adhered to in all welding and that the welders’ qualifications meet requirements throughout the project.

The system breaks ground also in enabling the user to anticipate the equipment’s servicing needs. In addition, the smart scanning device can collect quality-related documentation, for traceability of every individual weld.

Easy management of all factors affecting the quality and productivity of welding is at the user’s fingertips – with a single system. Productivity benefits are reached via improved quality and efficiency of work, automated monitoring, and easier creation of project documentation.

MagTrac F 61 – a welding carriage for higher productivity and quality

Kemppi’s new MagTrac F 61 welding carriage makes the welder’s work faster and easier. It is a cost effective and efficient way of increasing welding productivity in large and small metal fabrication workshops alike. This welding carriage combines ease of use, accessibility, quality, and efficiency in a completely new way.

Ease of use was the core idea behind the development of the MagTrac F 61 carriage, which has been designed as a basic tool for workshops, especially for horizontal fillet welding. Welding parameters are transmitted between the carriage and welding equipment via the control cable, which is integrated into the welding gun cable.

The carriage gets its operating power through the same cable, so only one cable is needed between the wire feeder and carriage. The fact that separate transformer and control cables are not needed makes for a safe work area and promotes efficiency.

Kempact RA – new standards in the compact MIG/MAG class

The Kempact RA product range creates a completely new standard for compact MIG/MAG machines. These products, designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern welding workshops, represent a uniquely elegant and practical design. Their features emphasise high quality and customer benefits, to make welding truly efficient, accurate, and productive.

The product was designed with attention to real users’ needs. This project included a user survey, in which users were observed and interviewed in various countries and operation environments. The result is a welding machine that easily adapts to different needs.

Wise solutions – four arc tools every welder should have

The last few years have seen MIG/MAG welding power source development create an opportunity to develop more and more multifunctional equipment. In MIG/MAG welding, the power source and software technologies have made it possible to develop tailored welding processes and functions, to aid in welders’ work.

Kemppi’s Wise product family is designed for just this purpose. This range of software-based welding products is a valuable add-on for use with FastMig and KempArc welding machines. There are tailored Wise welding processes and functions for root-pass work, sheet-metal welding, penetration control, and focused arcs wherein the energy is concentrated in a narrow space.
